The 3 Biggest Challenges Every Christian Entrepreneur Faces—And How to Overcome Them
Feb 17, 2025If you’re a Christian entrepreneur, there are three battles you will face over and over again: your time, your money, and your mind.
Mastering these three areas will determine your success—not just in business, but in life. Yet most entrepreneurs struggle with them.
We live in a world that constantly pulls at us. There’s never enough time, money feels like it’s always slipping through our fingers, and our minds are under constant attack.
But here’s the good news: there’s a way to win in these areas.
And the secret? Rhythms.
Not quick fixes. Not productivity hacks. But real, intentional practices and disciplines that create lasting change.
The truth is, we don’t rise to the level of our goals—we fall to the level of our rhythms. The habits you build today determine the life you’ll live tomorrow.
And while you can work on these things individually, the real breakthrough comes when you’re surrounded by a community of other Christian entrepreneurs who are walking the same path—who challenge and support you in these areas.
Let’s dive into the three biggest challenges we face—and how to overcome them.
1- Your Time—The First Step to Taking Control Is… Rest?
This one is going to sound crazy to a lot of entrepreneurs, but hear me out:
If you want to take control of your time, you need to rest.
That’s right. The best way to get more done is to stop working so much.
Sounds counterintuitive, right? But this isn’t my idea—it’s God’s.
We are commanded to honor the Sabbath. Yet most entrepreneurs ignore it, thinking they’ll fall behind if they take a break. In reality, rest is what allows us to show up as our best selves.
I take a CEO Day on the first Monday of every month. It’s my time with God. No technology. No distractions. Just my Bible, a journal, and a quiet place in nature. I even fast on this day.
Why? Because I don’t do well when I’m empty. I work best when I’m filled by God’s overflow.
If you’ve been running on fumes, constantly chasing time but never feeling like you have enough, I challenge you to start building a rhythm of rest into your life.
You’ll accomplish more, not less.
2- Your Money—The Way to Have More Is to Give More
Want to stop worrying about money? Give it away.
This is another one that blows people’s minds. But if you are not tithing, you are missing out on one of the greatest gifts God has given us.
Tithing isn’t about what God wants from you—it’s about what He wants for you.
When we tithe, we learn to trust Him. We become more responsible stewards of what we have. And we break the hold that money has over our hearts.
The more generous you are, the easier it is to let go of money—and the less control it has over you.
If you’re always stressed about finances, ask yourself: Have I truly surrendered this area to God? Am I trusting Him with my money?
Make generosity a rhythm in your life, and you will experience a level of financial peace and freedom that no amount of hustling can give you.
3- Your Mind—You Are What You Consume
We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded by information. Most of it isn’t good.
If you’re feeling mentally exhausted, distracted, or overwhelmed, take a step back and ask yourself: What am I filling my mind with?
The reality is, you can’t just “get rid” of technology. It’s here to stay. But what you can do is take control of how you use it.
Start by creating a Technology Consumption Plan with three key elements:
- Time: How much time will you give to media and technology each day? Set limits.
- Frequency: When will you consume it? Be intentional about when you allow it into your life.
- Quality: What are you actually consuming? Is it leading you closer to Christ—or pulling you further away?
This is where most people fail. They consume mindlessly, without a plan. But when you set boundaries and protect your mind, everything in your life improves.
The key is intentionality.
Winning in These Areas Is Easier in the Community
Here’s the truth: You can try to work on these things alone—but it’s a whole lot harder.
When you’re surrounded by a community of other Christian entrepreneurs who are also working to win in these areas, everything changes.
You challenge each other.
You hold each other accountable.
You share solutions and strategies that actually work.
You don’t have to figure this out on your own.
If you’re serious about getting control of your time, your money, and your mind—and you’re ready to step into a community of entrepreneurs who are committed to doing the same—reach out to me.
We’ll talk about whether coaching or community is the right fit for you.
But don’t wait. Your life, your family, and your future depend on the rhythms you create today.
It’s time to stop letting busyness, money stress, and mental exhaustion run your life.
Instead, let’s build rhythms that lead to real, lasting success.
Are you ready? Let’s do this together.
